WHAT CAN YOU LEARN FROM A DYSLEXIC HIGH SCHOOL DROP OUT?
At the age of 15, I left school with a head full of dreams and a pocket full of lint.
I always was a dreamer and wanted a better life for myself. I had a chip on my shoulder about being adopted, being thick and having hip problems, I always felt I had been given a raw deal but that didn’t mean I was going to just sit back and accept it!
Through the years I have done various dead-end jobs while on the quest for happiness and the perfect career for someone with my personality and abilities. My father told me I should be a joiner as I joined every club, business opportunity and shiny thing that passed by. I told him I was just “Too thick to quit” because I was never wanted to regret missing an opportunity. Money in the bank ain’t any good if it’s not growing so I continually reinvested in myself and eventually found the entertainment industry. And boy have I thrived in it!
Let me share my journey and why I believe it’s better to be too thick to quit than accept your lot in life.
